SPRINGFIELD – State Representative Sara Wojcicki Jimenez (R-Springfield) released the following statement below following Speaker Madigan’s decision to cancel the House of Representatives Session next week:

“I am extremely disappointed in Speaker Madigan’s decision to cancel session next week. Certainly not a good way to start off the New Year by making the taxpayers wait even longer for the House to get back to work at the Capitol. I believe I share the same sentiment with many of my colleagues that it’s time to reach an agreement on a state budget and the only way that can happen is when we come to work in Springfield.”
